Senior Frontend Developer

Join one of the largest media companies in Belgium as a Senior Frontend Developer. You will be part of a dynamic team working on Editorial Systems, ensuring the seamless publishing of digital articles across major news platforms.

       >       Develop and maintain high-quality frontend applications using React, NextJS, HTML, and CSS.

       >       Collaborate with backend engineers, integrating APIs and AWS-based services to ensure smooth functionality.

       >       Optimise user experience in a dynamic article editing and rendering environment.‍

       >       Work with modern AWS technologies, including Lambda, DynamoDB, and API Gateway.

       >       Engage in cross-functional decision-making, ensuring alignment on architecture and scalability.

       >       Follow DevOps and CI/CD best practices, leveraging AWS CloudFormation, CDK, CodePipeline, ECS, and Docker.

       >       Contribute to a ‘you build it, you run it’ culture, taking ownership of frontend performance and maintainability.

       >       5+ years of experience in frontend development with React, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and NextJS.

       >       Strong understanding of backend integration, with familiarity in NodeJS, AWS Lambda, Java, Spring, MongoDB, Maven, and Gradle being a plus.

       >       Experience working with CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and containerisation (AWS, Docker, ECS).

       >       Solid grasp of DDD, TDD/BDD, SOLID principles, Clean Code, and Hexagonal Architecture.

       >       Passionate about high-quality software, performance optimisation, and best coding practices.

       >       Agile mindset, thriving in collaborative environments with pair programming and cross-functional teamwork.

       >       Work on cutting-edge AWS-based solutions in a fast-paced, digital media environment.
