Medior Backend Engineer

Join one of the largest media companies in Belgium as a Medior Backend Engineer. You will be part of a dynamic team working on Editorial Systems, ensuring the seamless publishing of digital articles across major news platforms.

       >       Design, develop, and maintain backend services that support digital article creation and publishing.

       >       Collaborate closely with an architect to ensure scalable, cross-domain technical decisions.

       >       Ensure high-quality code and best practices using DDD, SOLID principles, and Clean Code methodologies.

       >       Take ownership of deployments and CI/CD pipelines using Maven/Gradle, Docker, ECS, and Fargate.‍

       >       Contribute to a ‘you build it, you run it’ culture, ensuring software stability and continuous improvement.

       >       4+ years of experience in backend development with Java 21, AWS, and database technologies

       >       Proficiency in REST, Spring, and modern CI/CD tools (Maven/Gradle, Docker, ECS, Fargate).

       >       Experience with frontend technologies (React, TypeScript, HTML, CSS) is a plus.

       >       Strong knowledge of TDD/BDD, Clean Architecture, DDD, and SOLID principles.

       >       Agile mindset with hands-on experience in Scrum or other agile methodologies.

       >       Passionate about quality-driven development in a high-tech, continuously innovating AWS cloud environment.

       >       Work on cutting-edge AWS-based solutions in a fast-paced, digital media environment.
